That description was all it took for us to add the Colombia Gran Galope to our line up of coffees. The average coffee farmer in the Huila region has about 1.5 hectares of land and will produce about 50 bags of coffee per harvest. During the few months of harvest season, he or she will bring to town to on a Saturday 10 or so bags of coffee. Our importer is there, pulling together top lots and paying a premium to the farmer, then bulking them together to make full containers of delicious, rich, chocolatey Colombian coffee. If you love a rich dark roast with creamy body and balance you’ll really enjoy the Colombia Gran Galope.
